Buds & Blooms & Blue Skies, Oh My!
You may not be able to tell from this image, but these trees have buds. And what’s even cooler is that some of the smaller trees in my area actually have blooms. This makes me beyond happy because I know that soon the temps will stay warm, the skies will stay blue, and the sun will shine most days. I can not wait! But, I do live in Canada, which means we still have a snow or two to endure, starting Tuesday. Bleh!
Last year we had snow into May, so getting snow in April doesn’t even faze me anymore. It doesn’t make me happy either, but it is what it is. We can’t change Mother Nature and her crazy winter whims. So, I’ll take whatever good days I can get, and try to be productive with them. On this particular day I was experiencing a high level of anxiety, so my wonderful husband suggested a second walk, and we just spent time in the Bear Creek Eco Park, which is situated close to my home, and easily walkable. It was Nice to be out in the fresh air and to be paying attention to all the little details. I haven’t owned a macro lens in years, but on this day I wished I had one. That new Canon RF 100mm macro looks amazing!
And yes, I'd love to be off photographing grand landscapes, beautiful vistas, and exploring new lands, but at this moment in time, this is what I have before me. So, if I don't want my photography skills to completely erode, I just have to photograph what I can. Some days it's ok, and some days there is no appeal to walking through the same park, looking for something new in every nook and cranny.
